The Argos USA Newberry, Fla., plant had a record-breaking June – beating its production and shipment records from June 2019.
The cement plant produced 140,000 tons (t) last month, which was 9% higher than its previous production record of 128,000 t. The plant also shipped 129,000 t of cement during the month, beating the previous record by 7%.
“Everyone at the Newberry Plant is excited and proud to see these records being set,” said Daniel Ball, Newberry plant production manager. “With the current sales climate, we are able to show the untapped potential Newberry has. This sustained sales commitment would not be possible if it wasn’t for all the hard work and dedication of everyone at the plant as well as from Argos plant support staff and Argos Corporate. But with the new record set, we strive to set new records going forward.”
